Pendleton - Glacier National Park Blanket

Celebrating Glacier National Park, this Pendleton blanket features a woven label with the park name and an image of a mountain goat in the corner to signify its authenticity. The colors of this blanket date back to the frontier trading posts where traders would indicate the weight of the blanket offered in exchange for furs by holding up one finger for each pound. The original blankets incorporated three, four, or five black stripes in the design that indicated the value of the blanket. This blanket is woven in Pendleton’s pacific northwest mill, just like they were 100 years ago, with the same quality and attention to detail.
